Sunshine Bridge Education Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to students enrolled with Sunshine Bridge Education (“SBE”). By completing the enrolment process and ticking the acceptance box in the Google Form, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Enrolment and Attendance
a. I authorise Sunshine Bridge Education and its staff to care for and supervise my child while my child is attending SBE or participating in an activity supervised by SBE.
b. I acknowledge that SBE will take reasonable care to provide a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for my child.
c. I authorise SBE staff to take reasonable action considered necessary to protect the safety and wellbeing of my child while they are in SBE’s care.
d. I understand that my child’s regular enrolled day or days are reserved specifically for them for the duration of the term.
e. Fees remain payable when my child is absent during the term for any reason, including illness, appointments, family holidays, travel or other personal circumstances.
f. I understand that fees are charged to reserve my child’s ongoing place at SBE and contribute towards staffing, premises and operating costs, which continue regardless of individual student attendance.
g. Where an enrolled day falls on a public holiday, Sunshine Bridge Education will be closed and no fees will be charged for that day.
h. Where my child is absent from their regular enrolled session, SBE will endeavour to offer a suitable make-up session where availability allows. Make-up sessions are subject to available places and cannot be guaranteed.

2. Fees and Payments
a. I agree to pay all fees associated with my child’s enrolment by the applicable due dates.
b. Families paying directly may pay their term fees either:
  1. in full at the beginning of the term; or
  2. in two instalments, with the first half payable at the beginning of the term and the remaining half payable by the date advised by SBE.
Families using an approved automatic payment arrangement will make payments according to that arrangement.
c. SBE may provide invoices, statements and/or payment reminders showing amounts owing.
d. I understand that failure to pay fees when due may result in SBE suspending or ceasing services until the account is brought up to date or an agreed payment arrangement is in place.
e. If I am experiencing difficulty meeting a payment due date, I agree to contact SBE as early as possible so that a reasonable payment arrangement can be discussed.
f. I understand that outstanding fees remain payable even if my child stops attending SBE or their enrolment is subsequently cancelled.

3. Overdue Accounts and Debt Recovery
a. Where an account becomes overdue, SBE may contact me to request payment and provide an opportunity to resolve the outstanding balance or enter into an agreed payment arrangement.
b. Where an account remains unpaid after the due date, SBE has provided reasonable notice and an opportunity to arrange payment, and no satisfactory payment arrangement or communication has been received, SBE may refer the outstanding debt to an external debt recovery agency or other appropriate recovery service.
c. Where SBE incurs reasonable external costs in recovering an overdue debt, I agree that SBE may seek recovery of those costs from me in addition to the original debt, up to a maximum of 30% of the outstanding amount, to the extent permitted by law.
d. SBE may decline future enrolment or re-enrolment while an account remains overdue.

4. Withdrawal and Changes to Enrolment
a. I acknowledge that SBE requires at least four weeks’ written notice if I wish to withdraw my child from SBE.
b. Fees remain payable throughout the four-week notice period, regardless of whether my child attends during that period.
c. I acknowledge that at least two weeks’ written notice is required when reducing or discontinuing an enrolled day.
d. Fees for the existing enrolled days remain payable throughout the applicable notice period.
e. Where my child’s enrolment has ended and there is a genuine credit balance on the account, I may request a refund. SBE may allow up to 5 business days to process the refund to allow payments, third-party funding and account adjustments to be finalised.

5. Photography and Media Consent
By providing photography and media consent within the enrolment form, I authorise SBE representatives to photograph and/or record my child during SBE activities.
Where consent has been provided, photographs or recordings may be used for:
a. SBE educational and promotional materials;
b. SBE's website, social media and electronic communications;
c. appropriate media publications or communications relating to SBE; and
d. displays celebrating student activities, projects and achievements.
Where appropriate, my child's first name only may be used in connection with an image.
I understand that no payment or compensation is payable for the authorised use of these images.
SBE will not publish my child's surname or other identifying personal information in connection with an image without additional consent.

6. Morning Tea, Lunch Breaks, Parks, Libraries and Social Activities
a. I give permission for my child to walk with SBE staff to nearby parks, libraries or other appropriate local locations for morning tea, lunch, recreational activities, Social Club and/or Holiday Club activities where applicable.
b. I understand that students will remain under SBE supervision during these activities.
c. I am responsible for ensuring that my child attends with appropriate sun protection, including a hat and sunscreen where required.

7. Medical Information and First Aid
a. I agree to provide SBE with accurate and current information regarding my child's medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications and other relevant health needs.
b. I agree to notify SBE if this information changes.
c. I consent to reasonable first aid being administered to my child by an appropriately trained staff member where required.
d. If my child becomes unwell or is injured while attending SBE, I authorise SBE to contact me, another parent or guardian, or the emergency contacts provided for my child.
e. Where SBE reasonably considers urgent medical attention necessary and a parent, guardian or emergency contact cannot be reached in sufficient time, I authorise SBE to seek appropriate emergency medical assistance for my child.
f. SBE will make reasonable efforts to inform me as soon as practicable of any significant illness, injury or incident involving my child.

8. Behaviour of Parents and Guardians
a. I agree to communicate respectfully with SBE staff, students and other members of the SBE community.
b. Abusive, threatening, intimidating, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour towards SBE staff, students or members of the SBE community will not be accepted.
c. Serious or repeated inappropriate behaviour may result in SBE terminating or declining an enrolment.
d. I acknowledge the personal and sometimes sensitive nature of information shared within the SBE community and agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other students and families.
e. SBE reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where reasonably necessary to protect the safety, wellbeing or appropriate operation of the SBE community, subject to applicable law.

9. Student Behaviour
a. SBE aims to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
b. Parents and guardians are expected to provide SBE with relevant information regarding their child's learning, behavioural and support needs so that appropriate planning and reasonable support can occur.
c. Where a student's behaviour presents an ongoing or serious risk to themselves, other students or staff, SBE will endeavour to work with the family to identify appropriate strategies.
d. Where SBE reasonably determines that it cannot safely or appropriately meet a student's needs, serious behavioural concerns continue despite reasonable intervention, or ongoing or serious behaviours do not align with Sunshine Bridge Education's values and ethos or its ability to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, SBE may suspend or discontinue the student's enrolment.

10. Educational Services and Progress
a. SBE will endeavour to provide high-quality educational support appropriate to the individual student and the services in which they are enrolled.
b. I acknowledge that educational development and progress vary between students and that SBE cannot guarantee particular academic results, levels of progress or educational outcomes.
c. Where SBE believes that it is unable to appropriately support my child's educational needs, SBE will endeavour to discuss this with me.

11. Education and Registration Responsibilities
a. I understand that it remains my responsibility as the parent or guardian to ensure that my child meets all applicable education, enrolment and registration requirements.
b. Depending on the child's circumstances, this may include home education registration, enrolment with a distance education provider, enrolment in a State or non-State school, or another lawful educational arrangement.
c. SBE may provide educational planning, curriculum support and general assistance to families; however, responsibility for satisfying statutory registration, reporting and educational requirements remains with the parent or guardian.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
a. SBE may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
b. Where a change is material and may reasonably affect a family's rights or obligations, SBE will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect.
c. Updated Terms and Conditions will be made available to families.

13. Acceptance Through the Google Form
By ticking the “I have read and agree to the Sunshine Bridge Education Terms and Conditions” box in the SBE Google Form:
a. I confirm that I have been provided with access to these Terms and Conditions and have had the opportunity to read them before accepting them.
b. I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
c. I understand that ticking the acceptance box records my electronic acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as part of my child's enrolment with Sunshine Bridge Education.
d. I understand that these Terms and Conditions apply for the duration of my child's enrolment, subject to any updated Terms and Conditions communicated by SBE.
