Our Mission
Mission Statement - Sunshine Bridge Education
To provide a safe space for children and young people where they can:
-work creatively
-make meaningful connections
- develop academic abilities
The 5 Pillars of who we are and what we do
Work Creatively
1. All students should be nurtured in their creative outlets.
Educators and support workers should nourish their wonder,
this includes student autonomy and a driving of the curriculum through student needs and wants.
Develop Academics or Skills-Set
2. All students should be given the opportunity to extend themselves academically or with a certain skill-set.
Educators and support workers should work to identify current levels of ability within a student
and accommodate them inside the zone of proximal development.
Safe Space
3. All students should feel safe within our environment.
Educators and support workers develop ways to ensure that students sense security,
order, stability, and freedom from fear.
Make Meaningful Connections
4. All students should be given the opportunity to make meaningful connections,
not only with peers and adults, but within the space and within the community.
Educator Aptitudes
5. Educators and support workers should be given the opportunity to facilitate extra-curricular activities
that enhance the learning of the students at Sunshine Bridge where desired or sought after.
