 Hayley (Educator and Founder)

Hayley has worked with homeschooling families globally since 2017, and has developed a strong sense of the academic and social/emotional needs and requirements for students and children, depending on their developmental stages.

"My belief is that, in the right environment, all young people can thrive."

Hayley has worked with students from PREP to year 12 in her capacity as a QLD teacher, and has developed the Modern Waldorf Approach, and curriculum: www.modernwaldorfonline.com
Hayley has two gorgeous children of her own, and two fluffy animals.

Jess (Educator - Early and Middle Years)
For the past few years our tutor/educator, Jess, has built and maintained strong relationships with students, gently encouraging them and fostering a love of learning. She brings laughter and joy to our centre!

Jess was born in Melbourne, but has lived on the Gold Coast for the majority of her life. After finishing school she joined her dad in the family business running a restaurant. Here she completed her Chef apprenticeship and worked along side her family until she had her little girl, Rubi.

This is when Jess discovered her love of working with children and young people, and as time went on, she realised that it was time for a career change. Jess has been with us since 2020, and we can't remember life at Sunshine Bridge without her!

Jess plays netball and loves being outdoors especially at the beach. She also loves volunteering at a local retirement village which she and Rubi have volunteered since Rubi was 2 years old.

Marly (Educator - Middle and High School Years)

Marly has over a decade of experience working with multi-age groups, and has homeschooled her own children.

"I believe that our kids need to be content and connected to learn efficiently; it is my intention to walk beside them and aid them in their exploration of the world they live in.  My aim is to support your little (and big) humans in their studies."

Marly is a warm, gentle educator, and we love her sense of humour, quick witt, and ability to sense the needs of the young people around her.

Vicki  - (Brisbane and Online Educator)
Vicki comes to us with 8 years experience. She is passionate about education, and loves working in a holistic, student-centred environment.

I've been working with children, teens and adults with ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia for the past eight years and I've also worked in the learning development area in private independent schools and a Special School.

I have a background as a professional adult trainer in relationship and rapport building and I apply the same techniques to helping children, either those with learning challenges or children who just need some extra help with literacy and Numeracy. I have a natural ability to quickly build rapport and trust through my warm and caring approach resulting in many breakthroughs, especially with children with special needs and challenging behaviors. Some of which have surprised their teachers.

I've had parents tell me I've given them hope as their child was told by professionals their child is in danger of being disengaged from school and learning. I have an innate ability to connect quickly with students and inspire and motivate, as well as build confidence and develop a love of learning. I take the time to find out their way of learning and inject enjoyment into learning through games.

Formally, I have a Cert III in Education Support as well as many specialised courses on Neurodiversity. I gain a lot of satisfaction from seeing breakthroughs with the children I work alongside.
