Hayley Hayley Clearihan (Bachelor of Education and BA in Psychology) Hayley has fourteen years experience in the education system. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, and has a passion for working with young people. Hayley has developed a strong sense of the academic and social/emotional needs and requirements for students and children, depending on their developmental stages. She has worked with students from PREP to year ten in her capacity as a teacher and has developed and worked with many solid literacy and numeracy programs. She has a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum having taught all subject areas including history, science, and Mathematics. Hayley has two gorgeous children of her own and lives on 2 acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland.
Cheryl After her Primary Teacher training in South Africa, Cheryl then moved to the UK to work in a boarding school on Duke of Wellington’s estate for disadvantaged boys aged 6 -12. She migrated to Australia in 1977. Cheryl has worked in both public and private schools in Victoria and Queensland for the past 25 years. She is committed to a holistic education and is passionate about integrating literacy and handcraft within the school day. Cheryl is a member of the Nerang Community Garden and volunteers with OZHarvest - Nourish Program. She mentors youth in nutrition and kitchen skills. Cheryl lives in Nerang with her hubby and delightful sausage dog Pepper. She enjoys spending time with her 2 grandsons who are now 10 & 13, and who she regularly visits on the beautiful Bribie Island.
Skye Skye Warner (Bachelor of Education (post grad) and Bachelor of Social Work, is thrilled to be joining the team at Sunshine Bridge Education. Skye has 8 years full-time teaching experience in the private sector, working with children from prep to year 7, and experience in learning support, curriculum development and teacher mentoring. Most recently, she has been working as the Nature Play teacher at a local Lady Gowrie affiliated community kindergarten (3-5year olds). Skye enjoys finding ways to teach creatively and has special interests in music, art, storytelling and learning in nature. She has two special children of her own and lives on the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Katy Katy Carlson: Bachelor of Teaching P-10 Katy’s teaching degree from the Gold Coast's Griffith University qualified her for teaching from prep to Year 10. Over the years she has had experience with a wide range of age groups and developmental needs. She has worked in teaching learning support programs for literacy and numeracy and has also been involved with planning and implementing individualised learning programs that cater to specific learning needs. Katy brings a thorough knowledge and love of Waldorf crafts from sewing to needle felting, felt making to crochet. Her passion is photography but she still finds time for watercolour and pastel painting. Katy is a third generation Gold Coaster and lives with her husband, dog and cat. She has a grown-up daughter who attended a Steiner school in her primary years. Katy is over the moon to be working at Sunshine Bridge, side by side with friends and connecting with the students to discover the wonders of the world together.
Kate Kate Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Teaching. She has moved to the Gold Coast from New Zealand to be close to her family and grandchildren. Kate has many years of teaching experience working with a wide range of ages and abilities from pre-school to tertiary. She has also been a homeschooling mum. Kate is a lover of all things creative, with a quirky sense of humour and is committed to encouraging students to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive environment.
Amanda Amanda Driessen Cert / Diploma/ Advanced diploma Early Childhood Studies. Bachelor Child & Family Studies & a Post Grad Education Early Childhood. Amanda has 26 years experience working with children in a variety of different educational settings. She connects strongly with Rudolf Steiner's educational indications and also integrates more progressive and contemporary approaches in her teaching methods. She worked at Fingerprints Children’s Centre for the past 10 years. She has a strong understanding of child development and uses creative learning experiences to instil and impart a LOVE OF LEARNING and to build strong rapport with the children. She uses oral, therapeutic and puppet storytelling, music and creative arts. She is very excited to join the Sunshine Bridge Team x
